The company has grown and developed over the year and has already taken on the following projects which we are now running together as one multi-faceted but complementary business.

Stable Trading (Gisburn) - a 2.4 hectare site growing organic fruit, vegetables and plants on the A59 at Gisburn. Currently there are green houses, polytunnels, a small classroom and a small shop. There are 3 full time employees, several volunteer workers and 20 students undertaking NVQ type courses in horticulture and recycling.

Growing with Grace - a 1 hectare site on the A65 at Clapham with extensive greenhouses growing organic fruit, vegetables and plants. Most of the produce is sold via a box delivery service. There is a shop selling a variety of organic and Fair Trade produce. There is also a green composting business and a small bio - diesel production unit that is run by a local cooperative. There are 14 employees based at this location.



Stable Trading (Pantry) - based in Accrington, we have commercial kitchens, an organic bakery and a training centre, employing 10 full time staff and 40 students undertaking various catering courses and also producing a range of bakery products for wholesale and retail.

Stable Trading is working in partnership with Calderstones NHS Trust in providing NVQ qualifications in Horticulture and NPTC Skills for working Life in Amenity Horticulture. At present there are 20 students being catered for on site at Calderstones by two of our full time employees.

We are now employing over 25 people. We have longer term development plans for each site, but our primary aim for the next 12 months is to ensure that each project maintains financial stability and contributes to the creation of a much larger profitable and consolidated business.
